Cody's Christmas Party at School

I had a wonderful time visiting Cody's classroom Christmas party. I was able to watch him participate in several fun activities such as: Make an ornament, make a yummy Christmas Tree out of a icecream cone, and play M&M bingo. It was great to be able to take time away from teaching and from the other boys and just be able to focuse on Cody. I know since the other boys were born Cody hasn't had as much attention as before, but he knows we love him. They also sang Happy Birthday to Jesus and got to blow out their own candle on top their cupcake.

Sandi's 25th Birthday

November 22, 2008. Yes, that's right I am a quarter of a century old. I am at a great point in my life. I have my husband who I have been married to 5 1/2 years, with 3 kids and a house we have turned into our home. What else could a girl ask for???

Thanksgiving Feast

I have been away awhile I see..... So, Cody had his Thanksgiving feast at His Kids which including a Thanksgiving Meal and entertainment by the kids. Cody had his own table for his family which included, Jacob, Susan (Jacob's Mom), Sheryl (my mom), Johnnie (my Step-Dad), Mamaw (my grandma) and Papaw (my grandpa). I was not able to attend, so I have to go by pictures and a video clip my mother in law took. From what I saw and heard, Cody did a great job singing and performing, (and the food was good also!).

Still here...

Just wanted to let you know that I am still here. I haven't been able to get on the computer because I have been slammed between being a mom and being a teacher. With us starting back on Monday, it will probably be a little time before I can update. But since I am on now, I will work on it by downloading some pictures.... Maybe....

Hayden and his new shades

My baby boy Hayden Garrett had his first experience with the Optometrist. He did a great! I was very nervous with him because of him being 19 months old. I wasn't sure how he would act. Of course, Dr. Onan is amazing. Has these toys that get their little attention. The diagnosis was strabismus and he is wearing glasses to hopefully correct it. This was the first of I'm sure several appointments. He's doing a great job leaving them on, although in the car he doesn't like them. So, I just take them off and then whenever we get were we are going I put them back on.

Dave Ramsey's Bail Out Plan that we support!

We are at a crucial time in our country's financial history. Congress defeated the $700 billion bailout plan on Monday. However, they are revising it and trying to push it through again. I'm supporting an alternative plan that will keep our nation from going even deeper in debt, and I've been on TV and radio all week telling people about it.
We need everyone's help!

Pray for them to resist a spirit of FEAR and to embrace WISDOM. Even if you don't like them or agree with them, pray for them and tell them you are praying for them. There is a spirit over this problem that must be broken. Also, most of the media personalities are afraid as well and that is affecting their reporting. Pray for fear to be removed from them; they are making this worse.

Send The Common Sense Fix to your Representatives and Senators and tell them how you expect them to vote, and that if they put this nation in $700 billion of debt, that you will vote them out. It's their job to listen to us! (Whichever presidential candidate or political party that champions this plan from their leadership down will likely become the next president. That is because this plan fixes the crisis while going along with the wishes of the vast majority of Americans.)

First Sleepover!

Cody is 4 1/2 years old and finally had one of his Best Friends spend the night with us. From the weeks prior Cody has been counting down the days until it was finally the Cody/Andon Day. Which was a great learning moment for him because we incorporated the days of the week. We would ask him what day it was that day if the prior day was whatever. Anyway, on thursdays Hayden goes to a Teachers house because we don't have a 4-day program for his age. After school, everyone hopped in and we were on our way to pick Hayden up and we past an Apartment complex and Andon turned to Cody and said is that your house. Cody looked at me with a funny face, and said to Andon "No, we live in Jarrell!". So we picked Hayden up and Andon again asked if we were there yet. Again, Cody said "No, this is Leander, we live in Jarrell". I Andon that we had to go through Georgetown which would lead us to Jarrell. He was like "Oh". Ok, so we finally got home and the boys did their normal routine of hoping out of the car and dashing toward Momo's shop for their daily popcicle. They played around for a bit and after they were done with their popcicles I suggested going swimming (because it was a beautiful day yesterday). They said YES. I got their swim suits on. We went out and Andon gets right in sitting on the steps. Of course I am right there because I just put Mason in. And all of a sudden he just jumps in from the steps. Well, I don't know if he can swim or not, so I jumped in fully dressed with my shoes and Jacob's uninsured Blackberry phone. I grabbed him and we got out. He said that was fun, but he then said that he guesses that he doesn't know how to swim. After they played on the trampoline we went and got dressed into our clothes (me into dry clothes) then headed to our local McDonald's. They played for a while and then we went home, they took showers and did our bedtime routine. It was a great night and we are ready for our next friend to sleep over. Hopefully in our new house.
